A good man, gone.

My father in law passed away this morning after a very lenghty period of illness. He was 96 years old and has been on in-home hospice care for the past few years. My wife has been his primary caregiver for most of that time and while we have been expecting this day to come, it is still a hard thing to come to grips with for her. She has cared for him almost daily, taking care of his every need as several strokes had left him completely dependent on others for his every need. He was a very good man and will be missed and I am honored to have known him these past 23 years. Until we meet again; rest in peace.

I was just going to get a treat to smoke while finishing off the week's paperwork here in the garage. I'll enjoy it in his honour!!
