So at Thanksgiving our family is planning to draw names for a sibling gift exchange (with significant others there are 8 of us), as a result we are supposed to put our names in a hat with a list of a few things we want. My question is, if you could get a cigar or cigars (sampler, coffin, straight 5er) fairly easily what would you get and (if it is not a rule breaker) where? I figure if I make this easy on them I might have a chance :-).

By the way I am fairly new to smoking, I have a coolidor but not a huge supply yet. My main goal is to build a variety of smokes and try a wide array to develop my tastes.

One other note, I am in the MInneapolis,MN/Hudson, WI area so if you know of B&M's let me know.

The newb sampler in the B/S/T forum is always a great way to get a sampler. Any of your online retailers like Gabriel (gmiranda33), Mark (norcalmark), Isreal (uptown_isy), Chris (hermit11), ect are usually more than happy to set you up with a sampler if you give them a PM or call.

Can't go wrong with Padron 2000s or any of the x000 sizes. Always well constructed and good.

I did it the easy way. I bought the DOn Pepin "My Father" vitola sampler 6-pk from Cigarbid. Cost me 45 bucks plus shipping, and it's got a dynamo presentation that speaks of richness, but still under 50 bucks! Your recipient will be impressed.

1) A Hooker
2) One more Hooker
3) Davidoff Culebra Special C (3 cigars)

One cigar for each of you!!!

Enjoy the Holiday!

The Oliva Serie V sampler that is out right now with the two Diadema sizes in it that are exclusive to the sampler is a nice one.

Ha well that's a start. Again just to reiterate I would be the recipient. I need to give the buyer (Basically secret Santa style) a list of things. They would need to be able to have easy access to the items and what not.

You can get the things my list!

:whistling:

Brookstone has 2/$50 deal on those remote control helicopters. I've got some one year for my son and his girlfriend. Neither of them got much of a chance to play with them, though. The "adults" were fighting over who got to use them next. Best cheap gift I ever got.

I had some people from work want to buy me cigars for my birthday and I sent them to one of our member vendors mentioned above. It worked out great. they didn't need to fret about what brands to get and I was pleasantly surprised when the package arrived, even though I knew cigars were coming.

I like the sounds of this. I think I only have one of these in my humi and have never smoked one of any of them. Now I checked famous and gothem but did not see this sampler at any, correct me if I'm wrong folks so does that mean 1) I am not looking correctly and 2) does that exhaust the recommended vendors here? If so, where can I get them. Do you know if any B&M's sell them in the MInneapolis area?

You can get the CAO Conmemorativo sampler on Cigarbid.com
for $25 or so.

Cigars International has a "5 Pack Madness" for $30. Get
two "primo" smokes and a fiver of your choice. Often, the
fiver is better than the "primos".

Keep an eye on the CigarMonster.com deals, too.

Your options are many. Don't jump at the first deal.

Chemyst

Try PM'ing Keystone_Sozer, Uptown_Isy and NorCalMark to see if they can help you out. If you can't find one, let me know. I think I can get them for $50 at my local shop, but I would have to check. I'm sure you can get them cheaper elsewhere, California has nasty tobacco taxes, but if you can't, I can pick one up for you.

I will ask around. Thanks much.

Lots of Companies have holiday samplers this time of year, and some good deals around also its the perfect time to ask for the cutter or lighter you always liked, but never wanted to splurge on yourself.

All great idea folks I really appreciate the help. I am going to compile my list tomorrow and think I have a good representation for the gifters. Thanks again.
