I have tried a couple somewhat pricey sticks from my local B&M, and have found the CAO MX2 one of my favorites. However, it's not cheap at about $9/stick. I've been looking for something much cheaper for an everyday/while I work type of thing.
 

 
Try the Padrons 2000's($5.20) and 3000's ($6.00). You can find them cheaper if you look hard. You won't be disappointed. And do read that link Kris (Light This) posted, a lot of great choices there, especially the arturo fuentes.
