1992 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign FOR SALE

Hey Bill, I only drive overseas Jags, can you please confirnm this is not a domestic.

VIN = SAJHY1745NC651464

Since the first letter of the VIN is an "S" that means it was manufactured in England so there's your freakin' confirmation.

You got the box codes for everything?

Since it was manufactured in 6/91 that would make the box code "JUN 91"
:p

Will you ship your end first?

No, shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I can recommend a number of automobile shippers if you'd like. ;)

So isn't this the one with the trunk that was converted into a traveling humidor? Bill, honestly I think your going to have to sweetin the pot with a few of those sweet smokes you have aging in your humi.

Look, if I was in the market for a Jag (and I am not) you would be the man I would turn to buy it from :whistling:

Good Luck ;)

How can we be sure that this cat really came from Coventry? I hear that there are plenty of rebanded fakes out there.

Good luck on the sale, Bill.

I remember sitting in the back of my parents Pinto as a little kid playing with the metal ashtrays.

Excuse me - but I think this is properly posted in the correct forum. He did, after all, offer to toss in some cigars to the lucky buyer...

However - there are some hanging questions, CC (and don't try to avoid answering them)... Did you bum any of the jag parts from the community under the guise that it's just a little hobby of yours? And - are you trying to sell those aforementioned parts for a profit, now that you've managed to convince others you're just selling a little something (just one car) out of your collection - and there's not really an 80% profit on the sale, after all, because you do have your labor involved in the project?

And if you go whining to Rod because I asked those legitimate questions, you're a dead man - you hear me!!!

I have a concern. I know that Bill is a respected member here, and I doubt that he realizes that he's attempting to rip anyone off, but this car is a fake.

Bill stated that the date code on this automobile is "JUN 91," but the Brits were still using the NIVEL ACUSO codes in 1991. If this were an authentic Jaguar, it would read OASN!

It may be fun to drive - could well be made of real parts a Jaguar employee snuck home from the factory and assembled at home in his garage, or a "farm car," fabricated in a British machine shop - but I felt that the community should be aware of what he's trying to pass off.

One question Bill. Does this car have a sunroof?

Glass tops are a dead giveaway...
