150qt cooler with the extra opening in the lid...

Hmmm, does Jet Blue fly to Victorville, CA :whistling:

Atuck, everytime I look at that picture, does it let the humidity out? I'm just worried because the door is open, so if I look too long I'm afraid it'll screw up the inside RH!

As it has been said in every other thread about coolidors, if you're going to get a cooler that you can stand upright, be sure it has the slots in the sides, which double as great shelf supports. I don't know what they do otherwise, perhaps whoever came up with that idea in design knew that someday we'd be storing our cigars in there! Now that's vision!

Only place I've ever seen it consistently, and then only in the summer. Sportsmen's Paradise doesn't carry it, haven't been to Cabella's new store.

Does anyone know what happened to Vern's Koolador project? Did he ever actually build any more?

(For those that weren't around when Vern first came up with this, you supply the cooler, Vern supplied everything else. At least that's the way I remember it; I am getting older, ya know. (Put that in to save Neal some typing time.))

Dunno... I saw the posts and the pics and liked the base he made... not too worried about the top or maybe even the inside stuff. I PM'ed him as well as emailed him via the given email address in one of the posts... no reply as of yet (been about a week...) Hoping to hear from him so I can either 1) buy a set from him or 2) get the plans to make my own.

The last I heard Bob, Vern had closed up the shop. :(

:( :( :(

Man, that's too bad. I think that was a great idea he had. Maybe the demand just didn't pan out.....?

Swissy...yer a baaaaad influence! I just went to Costco on Sunday and picked up one of those damned coolers. It's got the access door and shelf slots, to boot. Unfortunately, they only had white...but Krylon has that new spray paint that bonds to plastic, so maybe I can come up with something that looks good. It's a shame about Vern, though. I really like the looks of the magnetic catches he used but I haven't been able to locate a supplier, yet.

Hehehehehehe... oh well. I was gonna see if you wanted my 100qt when I upgraded! We should get together and break it in properly... I'll give you a holler... I have some fresh Alaskan Scallops we bought off the boat in Homer we could fry up...

I appreciate ya thinkin' of me with that 100qt. As for the scallops, we could either fry 'em up or throw 'em on Grillzilla. And I'm quite sure I have a wine that would complement 'em nicely. If not, well, that'll just give me a perfectly good excuse to hit the Brown Jug Warehouse, now won't it?
