What beer did you drink today?

It's different. It has a nose like a Sauvingon Blanc, lots of tropical fruit. I've got another bottle to try. I haven't had much Wheat wine. We just got one from New Holland called Pilgrim's Dole. It was more like a nice Barleywine. Good stuff.

What beer did you drink today?

I think that was me with the Dragon's Milk. Good stuff, like drinking a Heath bar! A new batch of the BBQ came out a few weeks ago. Boulevard's been on a roll lately. They released a wheat wine about a month ago and the Tank 7 saison came out this week. It's basically the Saison Brett without...

What are your special beer glasses?

I kind of geek out on glassware. The one glass that I don't have is a thistle. I'd like to find the Celebrator one. A good online place for glassware is John's Grocery. It's a pretty cool store that's worth a stop if you are driving through Iowa for some reason! This is a good time of year to...

For some reason I couldn't pull the trigger on that one. Pretty pricey.

What beer did you drink today?

Had a couple of Bell's Rye Stouts with a Vegas Robiana Clasico on Saturday. On Friday, I had Boulevard's new Harvest Dance Wheat Wine. I haven't had too many Wheat Wines, it was interesting, tons of citrus in the aroma, almost like a Sauvignon Blanc.

    The Abyss

Love the Abyss. Definitely a beer that lives up to the hype.

What beer did you drink today?

It's from New York, so hopefully you should be able to find it. Great aroma and a big beer at 9%abv. Here's my review from last year: 22oz bomber served in a chalice. Copper colored pour with a quickly dissipating head. Fantastic aroma of pumpkin pie spices, cinnamon, nutmeg even some bready...

    Beer PIF

That Flying Dog looks interesting. I haven't heard of that one. I remember enjoying the Bishop's Finger, but it's been a while since I've had one.

What beer did you drink today?

Opened my first Southern Tier Pumking of the season. It is still the king of the pumpkin beers!

What beer did you drink today?

Glad you liked it. It's one of the better pumpkin beers IMO. At 8%, it can be a little sneaky!

    UPS raised shipping cost?

I feel you. It does seem like it is getting more expensive.

How does a beer go from Pale Ale to DIPA?

I liked that Southern Tier a lot. I thought the Great Divide was pretty good as well.

What beer did you drink today?

That Dragon's Milk surprised me, because I haven't been much of a fan of the other New Holland Beers that I have tried. Nice oak and toffee flavors.

What beer did you drink today?

I like the Pumpking a lot as well. I haven't seen it here as of yet. I'd also recommend the Iniquity - a black IPA, the Creme Brulee - although some find it a little sweet and the Oak Aged Unearthly. The Cuvee beers are nice but pretty understated and a little pricey.

What beer did you drink today?

Drank a few this weekend. Weyerbacher XIII courtesy of MAS_Puros. Lots of alcohol even after a year. If you've got some in your cellar, I'd sit on it a while. New Belgium Le Fleur Misseur, this one had a nice aroma of citrus and some brett, but there not a lot going on in the flavor. Founder's...
