    Hidalgo Palo Cortado "Wellington”

A kind host graciously shared a bottle of this 20 year old sherry with me. I've never tried sherry before, but I think I'm hooked. Sweet and smoky with a nice complex finish. Any one else tried it?

The Final Lesson Pass (AKA Pass with no name part 2)

Pass is in-hand. I'll do my puts/takes the afternoon or tonight after I've finished at work. Who's next? Oh, and whoever fixed the cracked corner of the tupperware container with tape left a single pubic hair. ???

I've moved around three different states since I filled it out. There's no way that they're sending anything my way!

Cuesta Rey Stanford’s Cameroon Reserve Pyramid #9

I haven’t done a review in ages. But I found this very special Cuesta Rey Stanford’s Cameroon Reserve Pyramid #9 and thought what better way to end a hectic semester of teaching than to smoke it alongside a glass of Eagle Rare bourbon. I still remember my first experience with this...

The never ending bad news...and my farewell post!

Good luck, Loren. My father passed away in 2009 from NASH (nonalcoholic steatohepatitis) also known as "fatty liver" disease. I tested positive for precursors of the disease when I was 18 and they've put me on cholesterol-lowering medication. PM me if you need to talk. Best, Marc

Fake Davidoff and Dunhills sold on CP

I haven't bought or sold cigars on a message forum in almost two years. It's just not worth it. Not to me. People who you know, become friends with and hang out online and in-person have used their position for profit way too much. It's this strange "internet morality" that gets me. Folks log...

    Cigar Poetry

It's short. Listen to Gerald Stern read it aloud here. Context is pretty interesting, though it is a sad poem. I had no idea his family was in the cigar biz.

    SI-15 Padron 64th Special Release

Wow! A 60 ring gauge Padron . . . dunno if I could handle it. ??? Looks like a fantastic smoke, but prolly too much for me. Some one send me the 1964 Lancero once it's released. :D

    Epic Student Fail

Yes :D And not a professor. . . only an adjunct lecturer. A mere serf compared to even an assistant professor.
