do ISOM's come in bundles?

Not that I'm Ingrateful, trust me they smell oh so good, is there any way to find out who made them?

This is the only way to find the answer to your question. Coming here where there are many educated and experienced smokers, I'm afraid, is the wrong direction for you.

If you are holding onto a roll of kite string, why would you unravel the roll to see what type of kite it is? You would only be letting the kite get further away. Follow the tension on the string and you'll be getting closer to your answer.

i know i should go to the source but didnt have a chance to ask. I wasn't aware ISOM came unbanded and in bundles. they were 2 sizes
-robusto with a slight reddish color, very sweet smell, 4 7/8 and 52
-belicoso duller color then the robusto, same smell, 6 1/8 and 52

I will post pics later, i'm enjoying one right now and it is oh so good.

edit to add:
while smoking, the first third was spicy and leather ... i'm in the second third and it mellowed out and way smoother but after half way spice comes back but not as much as the beginning. this is a nice smoke!

Need more info... There could ba a ton of reasons why they were unbanded. Where'd he get them, how'd he get them, etc.

Sounds like they could be real - but also could be fake.

From your photos it's hard to tell, but the construction looks good. Certainly tearing them apart might reveal more (but you'd have to destroy the cigar).

Anyways - even if you were able to establish that they were from there - an even bigger challenge is determining where they came from (i.e. what is the marcas). Both of those vitola are the most popular cigars that are rolled - and could be any of the marcas (i.e. Cohiba, Montecristo, Partagas, etc.) produced.

I say just smoke 'em if they're good and don't worry about where they came from. :thumbs:

BTW - that $20 bill in the last photo looks like it might be a fake. I think you need to send it here for a better look...

Maybe pops procured them unbanded from his source. Doesn't mean they are "farm rolled" or fake. Or maybe they're culled from cabinets prior to them all becoming banded.

thanks for your input guys...I have to say the robusto smoked really good, spicy for the first third with tons of smoke, spiciness mellows and smoke becomes velvety and smooth 2nd third. Last third spice picks up again and so does the strength. I liked it a lot ... reminded me alot of a Tatuaje J21.

Could have also been picked up in Cuba - could have been picked up in Miami and made with Honduran/Nicaraguan tobacco and tastes like it was from Cuba - and sold with the idea they were from Cuba (unbanded because we need to hide where they came from). Could also have been purchased online and shipped without bands - the guy said his father gets them, but said nothing more about where he got them from, how much he paid, etc. To many "could be's" for any kind of meaningful analysis.

About the only thing I can say definitively from those pics and the info provided is that they are very likely cigars...

To prove my point. I have some unbanded Robusto vitola in my collection that challenges even the experts. Everyone that has tried them has sworn they were Cuban. Though, they do not have one flake of Cuban tobacco in them. And - they are not "farm-rolled" - they are commercial production.

I'll send one to the first one to post in this thread the brand and what they are very popularly known as. It should not be difficult to do. BTW - they ARE original release...

My friend did say they were cuban and that his dad buys them in bundles ... that was all the information I was given. Not sure they wanted to disclose their source in detail. Considering I've only smoked a few cubans of smaller ring sizes, the one I smoked was better, but not better then a Cohiba Siglo XI I've had a few month's back.

Hint #2: I'm smoking one of the other fine cigars from the line. One that is VERY difficult to find (OR as well). Too bad none of you are here, or you'd get it right away!!!
