Every year they swear up and down that they follow this process, and it's all legit. But yeah, there has to be something. I mean, come-on, really? There are some great cigars out there, cigars that really stand out. Some are on their list. The DC Anni is on their list. How can that cigar be beat out by this Casa Magna whatever. :laugh:

I'm wondering why a cigar with a rating of 93, which got first, somehow beat a plethora of cigars that got 94s and 95s....namely the Alec Bradley Tempus or the RP Decade...

I know CA doesn't factor in price when reviewing a cigar, but this is probably THE BEST value out there. I feel this is a great cigar, but I do factor the price into my personal reviews.

None of the previous rating are supposed to matter. Basically, they all hang out and smoke unbanded cigars for a week or something. They take notes, judge, pool everything together and then add up the points. That's my understanding.

Yeah, it think they take everything that scored 90 or better during the year and re-test. Then narrow down that group to the top x cigars. Then smoke that group again.

I have to admit this is a pretty good smoke. I watched a guy smoke it in a blind tasting, and swear up and down that it was an LFD.

Yeah, I'm not saying they threw a dog rocket into the #1 slot. I just question whether or not it should be in front of the cigars it was placed in front of.
