ISO Eagle Rare 17

Earlier this year, I had a spare bottle of Eagle Rare 17 that I gave my co-worker for here birthday. She really enjoyed it, so much that she drove to Kentucky in October to get another few bottles. She registered with the Liquor Barn in Lexington, but they sold out within days of receipt.

I am in Ga, and the backward assed liquor distribution laws only allow one distributor to distribute Buffalo Trace products, and the only ones distributed in metro Atlanta is Blantons (A good bourbon).

I am trying to track down one or two ER 17 for a holiday gift. Any BOTL have any in their local bottle shop ?

IMO for the price the 10 yr is WAY better, not that much better at DOUBLE the price.

I don't disagree, and its easier to find the 10. But, its a gift and this person tried the 10 and did not like it, bu tloves the 17.

I also had to remind them that each bottle will taste different based on the barrel bottled.

Agreed...this stuff is so good I can drink it neat. I can't say the same for the 10yo even though it's not too bad itself. The 10yo I don't mind mixing with coke if I feel like it but I would never do that with the 17.
