You've written a lot of good stuff over the years, but that, is the most profound thing you've ever written.I had a conversation the other day that left me shaking my head. After Mr. Obama was elected this person said it was the first time he was proud of his country. I told him he was making enemies with statements like that. He responded with a diatribe about how after the tragedy of 911 all the flag waving was ridiculous and that that energy could have been spent better in other areas. He continued on about how every great American gets assassinated and that doesn't make him proud and that this country is made up of a racist population.
Okay... now read this carefully. He said "What makes this country great" "isn't flag waving; it's about freedom of choice and freedom of speech and belief". He ended with this, "But if you can appreciate my constitutional right to express what my beliefs are and that they are totally different than yours. Well then and only then can you call yourself a True American."
It's true. Every word.
To my fellow veterans, I posted this for you. I hope you all had as fine a day as I did... wrapped in our constitutional rights.

Thanks Doc. I was angry at first but then he wrapped himself in the American Flag and claimed constitutional privilege. That gave truth to the lie. You've written a lot of good stuff over the years, but that, is the most profound thing you've ever written.I had a conversation the other day that left me shaking my head.
