I finally made it back to Cadenas cigars. I purchase my first legal cigar (before then they were umm Grandpa's) On my 18th birthday we went into there and I purchase a cigar for the night on the town with my friends. And it was the best cigar to that time that I had ever smoked. Well I made the trip back today they are still in the same place on 16th street in Sacramento. The smell when you walk into there humidor is just awesome. There is guys rolling in the shop and cubans standing around smoking what they roll. This is the cigar store frequented buy the Arnold as his offices are not from there. They even designed a cigar just for him The Govinator it is a monster of a cigar 56x 8.5 it will not even fit in my travel humidor lol. I smoked two that I purchase so far today and I have to say they are still one of the best cigars I have ever purchase and I know for sure I will not let this place go unvisited again rp

OK OK here is a pic of my haul for the day. I wish money was not tight I could have easily spent a weeks wages in there.

They smoke great I smoked tow of the Rothschild maduros and they are awesome rp

They sure do look tasty, it looks like i'm in for a sampler, I just have to see that Governator.
LOL the govinator is awesome I dont know when I will get the time to smoke it it looks like a 4 hour smoke rp

Hey RP - can you give a brief review (flavors, draw, burn, etc.)? Kinda curious your thoughts.

The Rothschild Maddies are smooth, flavorful, and rich. The draw was excellent tons of good smoke Burn was even all the way down and the Ash was White like a good cigar should be. I would say for a Maduro it was a full body smoke but not harsh I nubbed both of them till my fingers were burning. Flavor wise it was a lot like a lot of other double and triple maduro's I smoke defiantly has some spice to it with a nice sweet taste up front rp

Watch for a full review in the next day or so rp

I was going through my singles tonight and I found a couple of these from a gracious bro! I completely forgot I had them but will enjoy smoking them this week.

Finally got the Cardenas cigars in today (ordered on the 25th). Came via UPS (8 p.m., that dude was working late!) and packaged quite well. Rolled up in a nice bag and then wrapped with bubble wrap. Also came with a small box of cigar matches. Only got four smokes: Rothchild Natural, Belicoso Natural, Fuma Natural , and Petit Cetro Natural. Cost $11.85 for the sticks with shipping and tax (not sure why I got taxed?) it came to a total of $19. Unfortunately, there was some damage to the foot on one of the smokes, possibly happened in transit.

The cigars themselves have a strong, dried raisin aroma. I know to let smokes rest a while, however I went ahead and put fire to the Rothchild. I went to light the cigar and got a very sweet taste on my lips, as if it had a sweetened tip. The smoke itself also seemed to be flavored. I know that many of the cigars listed on the site are cognac cigars, and there was no doubt that's what this was, although it didn't list it as cognac. The flavor was actually quite strong. I wouldn't say it was bad, just very different for me. I was reminded very much of a Baccarat "The Game" cigar. I only smoked to about halfway and put it down. I'm definitely curious to try another after they've rested a while.

I also recieved my order from Cardenas this weekend and am smoking one of the Fuma Naturals as i am typing this. I must say that this is a very tasty mild to medium smoke. Tons of smoke and alot of flavor. Id like to thank Ryan aka Petthefish for turning me onto this wonderful cigar and Kingantz for the link to the site.

Thanks, Jamie

I have been to Cardenas many times as I work about a block away. They do have a slightly sweetened tip on every cigar I have tried there. Also, they make many falvored cigars - mostly with cognac. Unfortunately they have a single humidor and store the flavored sticks with the non-flavored. That explains the flavor and aroma you noticed as it is on every cigar I have had from them.

Generally, not by "cup o' tea" but different and very reasonably priced.
