ok..I've been smoking for a bit but by no means am an expert. I'm just discovering what I like. I've found my favorite is the Gurkha Symphony. Nice creamy flavor to me.So i guess I like mild to med body smoke. I'll be running a half marathoin soon and want to reward my self with a NICE cigar. I'm not opposed to spending a few bucks but really have no idea what to buy.

that's where you guys come in...basically I've enjoyed Patel's Conneticutt's, the Gurkha's and the Vegas Gold wasnt bad either..I know these are all run of the mill smokes...and I would like to crank it up a noth...any thoughts?

Setting the bar a TAD higher (not super premium level): AVO Classic #2

Super premium: Davidoff Millenium Robusto.

Padrons... any of them.

Tatuaje... brown label, red label.

If your reward will be a super duper ding dong dandy premium, then drop some coin on a Padron Anniversary... 1926, 1964, 40th, 80th, doesn't matter, they are all ridiculously tasty and you feel like a king when you smoke one.

Patel Decade Torpedo is a really tasty smoke and isn't as expensive as the Padron Anniversaries. The Tatuaje's are great as well.

I would agree with this 100%. The 1964 and 1926 lines are as good as anthing out there in my opinion.

Yea, but he's looking for a mild to medium smoke....any one of these has the potential to kick his ass because they're all full bodied. A nice smoke in the mild-medium range that won't cost $10+ is an Avo Domaine.

As has been suggested, Avo Classic (or Domaine, but I don't like them as well) are very nice cigars around $10, more or less, depending on size, that are flavorful mild cigars. Also very good in this range are Ashtons. In my opinion, you can't get much better than Avo Classics or Ashton Classics for a tasty mild cigar. You can spend more, though: if you really want to step it up, you can get a Davidoff, but they are absurdly expensive.

What about trying anything from the Cabaiguan line or La Riqueza. Like many have said before anything from the Padron 64/26 line is amazing. The Tatuaje Havana line isn't to full bodied.

Or what about an Oliva O or S cigar too?

Good suggestions all around here.

Mine: Padron Serie '26 (any of em) or a Tatuaje Cojonu 2003.

You trying to kill this guy, or what, Wyatt? :sign:

I've found my favorite is the Gurkha Symphony.

If I were you I'd check out some of these..

Ashton Cabinet Selection
Most consider the VSG the best, but the cabs are really good if you like your cigars more on the mild side..

Davidoff Thousand Series
More flavor and body than the classic line, but not as in your face as the Grand Cru and Mel Blends.

La Aurora Preferido Cameroon
Great medium body smoke with excellent balance IMO.

Arturo Fuente Hemingway line
Awesome smokes, I've never had a bad one. Profile is a bit more on the medium side.

Hmmm... mild to medium eh?

If you want to be on the safe side then I'd change my recommendation to a Davidoff Anniversario. You will probably pay ~$18 ish for it and you have to find a retailer with a Davidoff contract.

Otherwise on the slightly cheaper side is the Avo XO which I enjoy, unique flavor and medium body.

If you want to crank it up a 'noth', I would not go past Davidoff.

Gran Cru No1 in my opinion. Just a plain awesome mild smoke.
