EarthQuake

Seriously? A 5.4. The 24-hour, non-stop news stations are covering it like Godzilla is coming ashore.....

That was a strong jolt, lasted for about 5 seconds or so out here in Pasadena. Felt 1 aftershock, nothing like the main shock.

My brother lives in West Covina and had dishes broken from falling out of the cupboards but nothing more serious than that.

Pretty nice jolt here. I wonder how StnkiMonki is doing?

I was at Geoff's place with Stephen (Sanchopanza) and Dave, the General Manager.................Geoff was having lunch off-site though near by with a client..............I think a client at least.

The first jolt hit and we all looked at each other and gave the "Nonchalant-Aint'-No-Big-Deal-California-Shoulder-Shrug" and then the real shaking started and I think I saw Stephen's eyes get as big as sand dollars, Dave wet his shorts and I stepped over both of them to get in the doorway! After it was over we walked around with our chests puffed up and out as if mother nature had nothing on us! I think the term "ribber knees" comes to mind! The good news is that not a single bottle fell of the glass shelves behind the bar...........that would have hurt.

Still, I would take earthquakes over hurricanes, tornadoes, dikes breaching, rivers flooding, blizzards, hail, lightning, etc.

Aint that the truth. I am a native Californian and have experienced my share of earthquakes, including the Northridge and Silmar quakes. I'll take them over the other natural disasters any day.

You guys go ahead. I'll stick with LI NY where our worst natural disaster is Guidos.

I was in Anaheim so it was pretty mild. After the quake we went to lunch. About an hour later (after I got back) the company evacuated us. Half of us laughed. The other hald was too busy asking "Why are they doing this an hour later?"

I lived in Whittier during the Whittier quake. It takes alot to shake me up.

woo hooo!!!! earthquakes ROCK!!!

cross that off the list of shit to do. Wasn't sure what the hell was going on until people started diving for the doorway.

I enjoyed it! :D
