A herf in Belmont.
I was talking to a few NY BOTL a few weeks ago and thought that a herf at Belmont would be fun.
The backyard Is really big and its a smoke friendly environment. Me and my friends used to get together there once or twice a summer and it was always fun

I was thinking 6/28 . Post time is at 1 and racing usually lasts till 6 if I remember correctly. Also the park stays open late for simulcasting for those that would like to stay later .

cooler rules here

Belmont Racing calendar here

edit for date change I missed that one

I just went this weekend ,and it is still a stronghold for the cigar smoker.
You can bring a cooler into the back yard just no glass bottles.
You can also bring food.
The races start at 1pm but its a good idea to get there around twelve to get a good spot
and the races end around six
since no one said anything about a different date ill stick with the 6/28

Attending
Scott1966
CgarDan
rob300c
Dave
me +4
AngryFishH

I was thinking 6/38 but I am open to suggestions on a date. Post time is at 12 and racing usually lasts till 6 if I remember correctly. Also the park stays open late for simulcasting for those that would like to stay later .

What's that work out to in American?

Can't make it, but would love to, and I agree that Belmont is an awesome place for a cigar. I am a huge racing fan, and working my way into the industry now, so I will be up at Belmont down the road, so maybe a future herf will work for me.

Love horse racing, betting and cigars so I might have to come up and chill with you guys. I am interested pending on the date. Please let me know when you have a solid date!! Thanks.

Sounds good to me. I need directions from Hemp. Tpke. coming from the East.

Take Hempstead Tpke West until you smell horse crap. Park on the right.

Sounds like a great time. The 28th is no good for me. I'll keep checking back to see if that's the date for sure.

I'm not a big fan of horses, but i sure like the hamburgers they turn into.

I'm interested.

Dave, I'll bring you a pub burger, leave the horsies alone!!!

Oh yeah...and some pickles too!!!

I'm pretty sure that pub burger (as well as any grade A ground beef) has some horse meat in it. It may not be a thoroughbred like Barbaro, but I won't taste the difference.

You're a bad man Dave...just realized that my band is playing at a benefit concert that night, but I still might be able to make it since it's an afternooner!
