When I last did the cigar in the bottle I had requests by others that wanted to play. So, here we go again with a little twist. jfields, putz mulligan, allofus123 & gunsandcigars88 have agreed to try their hand at cigar extraction. The twist is - there is a 7 day time limit. :0

I'm sending these out tomorrow and every one will post in the thread when their bottle of frustration (as Ken referred to it) is received and then the contest will begin. First person to remove the Mac as per contest rules and post pics is the winner. The winner ( if there is one ;) ) gets a nice follow up package.

The line up:

Hey Jim, send me the labels for mine!

Boys, acetone and MEK didn't make a dent. Luckily, I didn't try anything more destructive.

When I committed to playing I asked if there was a solution...... his reply? "I don't know, I've never tried." :0 :D

Has to be something else to it other than not spilling the liquid. All you would have to do is pour the liquid into a glass and problem solved, dump cigar out and pour liquid back in.

That's hardened resin bro! ;)

Ahh, I see now. It all comes together, I knew it had to something other than a normal liquid. Like maybe some potent acid that you only have a certain amount of time before it eats through the glass tube or something along those lines.

Ah ya, I can see how that could be a little tricky to get out now,

Best luck fellas.

Guess I've had mine for most of a year. I tried some common solvents - no joy. If you can mount a burr on a long shaft, you might burr out the resin. Rules say no glass damage. Rules don't say anything about damaging the Macanoodle. I think Jim expects that it won't be smokable, but it DOES need to be intact.
