We have done that in the past!

And as you can see... we could use more capital. But it has to be voted on by all the members. If it is voted yea, Then existing members get first crack at all opened available shares. I'm not sure members want to see the returns ( yeah.. right! ) weakend by allowing newbies in at our current low share value. which by the way is 10.78 a share. They originally opened @ $40. And who in their right mind would buy in @ $40?

Hello LEAF FUND Bretheran!

Unfortunately we have to deal with a heartbreaking situation. The passing of a great CP member and friend Brian 'Infinity' Wasserman. He also was a LEAF FUND share holder. So we have to figure out what is to be done with his existing shares. Bruce was going to talk to his Son and see what he wanted to do. If it's left up to us, I would like to keep them owned in his name. And if an when we ever do make some profits to buy cigars, we could do something with them in honor of our belated Brother! A donation, a contest... something unselfish... Like Brian was.

Go ahead and post your thoughts.

Technically, the shares are part of Brian's estate. Souldoggy is checking with Brian's missus to see if she has a preference. I expect they will be left to us to dispose of in a manner befitting the man.
 
I was noway inferring they belonged to the FUND. I am all for sending her his shares. I'm sure there is nobody here he cared for more than his beloved.

On another note completely outside of our business. Someone close to the family could offer her our assistance in helping her recoupe dollars for his collection in case she would be in need of monitary supliment in lue of his cigars and paraphernalia.

I know I have instructed my Daughter to come to Cigar Pass for help in liquidating my stash for cash. Of course I have some portions that where to be sent to a special few people first.

On another note... BEXP has popped after back to back days with over 1,000,000 shares traded. Today could be that day!

Alot of anal .... lists .. ( heh..heh) say that China is the place to be the next couple of months. Well we have dug there with our CPSL stock! Let's see if we can make it anywhere near the surface. I'm sick of buying high and selling low.

How 'bout you gentlemen?

Does anyone have anything they are doing in a peronal portfolio that we could watch the rest of the week? If so.... Post it.

I just personally bought some BAC at $4.65. Figured I'll either make a quick buck or donate to the cause, cuz this is short term strategy. I wish I could afford to just tuck it away for a few years. How ever I may sell it to just get my capital back and keep the profit in shares tucked. IF ... it makes me some that is. My luck.. she'll go down closer to 4.00 and I'll have to cut bait. Cross your fingers for me. Anyone else like or dislike BAC?

My personal portfolio is as depressed as the economy! Even the stuff I have with the Feds isn't so good right now :0

I'm keeping a piggy bank under the bed as a short term investment ;)
 
I'm still touting Micron Technologies(MU), and I almost like it better now than I did 2 months ago. Buys on March 4th call options have spiked for the last two days in a row. The stock has clearly been in an uptrend since December due in big part to the ratio of shares accumulated vs. distributed being on the rise. It's something to look at. I'm breaking a cardinal rule by turning this initially intended very short term trade into a short term investment, but it's done ok so far.
 
CHA... CHING!

I used margins to buy more BAC at 3.85.

After commisions and interest charges I made a couple hundy. Better than a sharp stick in the eye I guess!

Just one drop in the bucket compared to my down side that has been accumulated.

MU has paid up nicely. If I would have just listened. Our fund could have a better per share price!
