Well, after almost 5 yrs. of working for Lowe's, today is my last day. I started off as a part-time college student working 25-30 hrs. a week and now ending as a dept. manager. I worked at two different stores and made a lot of friends including several I am still close with from my old store. My outlook on retail changed immensely once I became a manager. Being called in at all hours of the day, having to complete impossible tasks in impossible time frames, and dealing with terrible customers......I will not miss these aspects of the job

In a little over a year as a manager, my depts. did a around 3.5 million in sales and I supervised six employees. The responsibility and experience I gained is truly invaluable and I am grateful I took the opportunity when I had the chance. Now, I am ready to move on to the next chapter of my life and the next challenge. The only thing left is to find the right cigar tonight :whistling:

It looks like a parto of your cover letter ;)
Good luck in searching for a new job!

:sign: Believe it or not, I am not testing my resume on CP.

Actually, I'm starting law school in a week and a half. No more J-O-B for me until next summer

Mike, i'll be doing the same thing on Sunday. I feel the same way that you do. Mixed feelings, happy to move on, but good memories looking back. I'll be leaving my Starbucks store, POSSIBLY the company after 3 years. (Leaving the company isn't set in stone, i have a second interview w/ a different store down by school).

Anyways, i wish you the best in Law school! You'll miss working, but thats normal. Good luck bro!

Congratulations, Mike. Celebrate with style. I hear that the God of Fire robustos are great for celebrating ;)

Hey Sam, When you going to England? I'll keep an eye on those GOF that you won in the pass until you get back. I promise to only smoke one. :D

I'm back, but you and your brother need to smoke one each to celebrate both of your new academic accomplishments.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts and well wishes guys. I ended up smoking my second to last '05 Fundadore. Great end to the night :)

Dave, can't wait to share a smoke with you again!

Good luck Mike.

Change is good, it inspires your motivation to do better.
