We watch it and compete with each other to see who's going to win. I missed last night, but so far say that it will be a female who wins. Not sure which one yet. But, I can guarantee it will not be Anutella Barba, though I'd like ot see some more pictures of her, LOL!.

I watch it every week with the kids at work. This is the first season I've ever watched. It's ok, but I like the auditions better since the sadistic part of me likes watching the contestants getting ripped on.
 
Yeah, it will definitely be a girl winning this year. The guys don't stand a chance. 100,000+ guys (I'm guessing) audition and THAT'S THE BEST they could come up with :rolleyes:

Paula Abdul is a jackass :sign:
 
I don't follow much as my softball games during the week is my idol...anyways, my girlfriend is in a "Fantasy Idol" league with a couple of her friends and they had a draft where each person had 3 picks...

Hers were : Lakisha, Stepheny and Sundance "I've got a big" Head.

I think it is a decent show.

its amazing what a powerful emprie American Idol has become.

Top selling albums in almost every genre..

If you make the top 10 you are pretty much gauranteed some sort of contract. Heck even Pickler got a record deal.

Probably both! :laugh: A friend of mine used to like it and I'd try and watch it with her and I'd usually only last about a minute or two. I guess I just don't like bad singing to bad music and smart-assed "judges" like that lame Paula Abdul and the other arrogant guy rip into people. I really don't see any "entertainment" value in any of it.

Now "World's Wildest Police Chase Videos" is a whole 'nother story! :thumbs: THAT'S "ENTERTAINMENT!" :D
 
Heh haven’t seen this years. Interesting story on Paula though. I was at one the local B&M’s and they have a tradition of watching it, one of the guys there was yelling at the tv when ever Paula would say anything. One of the other regulars asked what he had against her. He replied “when we produced her album we had to run it through 5 filters. She couldn’t carry a tune if you gave it to her” This perked our curiosity and when he left the B&M owner told us he was a small time producer who helped make one of Paula’s first albums.
 
Boy, I've dreaded this moment. Me and the wife are contributing to the decay of western civilization as we watch Idol. :blush:

I understand everything the detractors have to say, but it's like the car wreck on the side of the interstate...you have to look!

Kinda has to grow on you. I didn't like it at first, but now I'm hooked. Who will be the next William Hung???

I'll bet most of those police chases are in Los Angeles. Got a lot of 'em down here...
