Any suggestions....on a good all around ARR car.
I have a Traxxas Tmaxx and Nitro 4-Tec, I would be willing to do a trade. I just don't have time for them anymore. If you want pics just let me know, plenty of extras and a brand new controller I only used twice. I know I have not posted much but do know a handful of members here and would be willing to ship my end first so you can look at it.

Sure...I'll email you later today.

Thanks!

Ok... I know this post is kinda old... Sorry to dig this one up but I am a Huge Nitro RC fan and I must say DON"T EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM TRAXXAS! For what you get you should be paying about half of what they go for... OFNA and Team Losi should be the only two brands to look at. I have like 10 vehicles from Buggys to truggys and onroad and Monster trucks. My absolute favorite is my OFNA Jammin' x-1 RTR off road buggy. Wicked fast and nearly indestructable. I race competitively like 3 times a week and I can't be beat with it...

Cool - do you suggest any online shops?

I usually just buy locally... my suggestion would be just google it... also sign up for RCGROUPS.com foum. very helpful... I use towerhobbies and horizon hobby the most... as with all cars though... make sure parts are readily available for you to get... don't go buying a car that is 3 years old or something...

Tower Hobbies is a good place to start. I have a Traxxas Stampede (electric) w/ a brush-less motor, and a lot of other hop-ups, it screams, did a lot of mod to it and can compete on the local track with he buggies. Also have an older 4wd tamiya(sp) Dirt thrasher, the only thing I have done to it is replace the mech speed control with an Elect one, and put a 12 turn motor in it. it is way more fun to drive than the stamped.

there are a lot of forums out there just search it out. I have a blast with these me and my boys can spend all day with them.

I also have been doing this a long time, stay away from traxxas. Only one worth getting is a Tmax but then you have to head to supermaxx.com and do some major upgrades to it. Get an 1/8 scale buggy you'll like it a ton more.

Thanks. I'll probably look at the OFNA x-1.

I actually have a few nitro-gas powered RC cars that I haven't played with in a couple of years. Gary, if your interested, let me know... we could figure something out. Obviously their used, but they are broken in and have some upgrades. I have a monster truck, dune buggy, and a street race car.

I have a Tmaxx as well... with the the pull start upgrade; that autostart was a POS! I just went a got a starter box... easily the best money spent in he area of gas powered RC cars. I also have 8th scale OFNA Hyper 7 dune buggy, and the OFNA street race car based on similar parts as the Hyper7.. not sure the model number; but the street car has foam tires, two speed tranny, and a Berlinetti? racing engine that has never been run. The original motor on the street car went, so I bought the heavy duty racing engine... then shortly after bought the hyper7. Just started playing with the dune buggy and monster truck, and never got back to the street car... too much fun running them around in the dirt. Also on the off-roads, the bodies are velcroed to the chassis to stop dirt from getting to the servoes and electronics, plus heavy duty air filters. I put fail-safes in all three cars after seeing my friends car get DESTROYED from running out range at full speed.
