Davidoff's

I've only had two of the 100th Robustos, but they were really good. Certainly no bargain, but I imagine with a year to rest they will be absolutely spectacular. One of these days I am going to break down and try a Millineum Sampler. How do the Diademas Finas compare with the enormous Diademas in strength and flavor? I loved the DF's.

There are some bundles put out by Davidoff (They'll never really admit it, but they are shipped to us by Davidoff of Geneva) and blended by Hendrik Kelner...they're unnamed and say something to the effect of 3x3 tubos on the packaging.

Now that is interesting. How are their prices in comparison to the "regular" Davidoff? I also have another curiosity, do the actual shipping labels say "Davidoff" somewhere on them or are they coming directly from Kelner?

3x3's and 4x4's are blended by Henke and produced in the OK ( Oettinger-Kellner) Cigar Factory next to the Davidoff factory - owned by Davidoff as well. In comparison, Davidoff uses only about 25-30% of the total yearly crop production for Davidoff cigars exclusively in the Davidoff factory. The rest of the tobacco is used at the OK factory for Avo, Zino, Griffin, Paul Garmirian, Cusano, Zino Platinum Scepter and Platinum Crown, Diana Silvius, and anything else that comes out of OK. Henke blends all of the afformentioned brands as well.

They are very nice cigars.
But over priced

Ah, the old "overpriced" observation. :D

I REALLY like some of the Davidoffs (the Millenniums and the 100th Anniversary) and yes, they are expensive BUT I think they are worth the money.

I generally agree with you anvilt that $20.00+ non Cuban cigars are almost always overpriced but I think the Davidoff Millenniums and the 100th Anniversaries are well worth the money.
I agree 100%
I have only tried a couple of Davidoffs but were very impressed.
I will be buying more of them as special smokes,(ahh I work up today so its special).

That is great information, thanks Dion. I was not aware of the OK factory nor have I heard of the 3x3's or 4x4's before.

I have only tried 2 Davidoff vitolas - Special R and Millennium PC. Special R was $13 and the PC $9. I especially enjoyed the Millennium blend. I smoked one at the shop and bought 3 more before I left. I smoked all of them within a couple of weeks. I picked up 4 more last time I was there. Only 1 left in the humi right now.

I recommend any of the Millennium blend. But, as everyone else has said, I do not think that there are any bargains to be had with Davidoff smokes. I do think that they are worth the price. They definitely all seem to be without flaw and taste magnificent.

I've never had a Davidoff. I've heard great things about them with regards to construction and overall smoking experience, but I've also heard they're pricey for what you get. There are so many cigars out there that I like I'm trying to stick to cheaper options now.
