Is there anything that you like to do and can't wait to get in the first time of the new year? I have friends who have gone canoeing every first that I can remember, whatever the weather.

If the weather holds nice I will try to go flying. If not so good maybe a good bike ride or a round of golf.

Every year for the past 20+ years, a group of 5 guys (We call ourselves The Monday Night Crew) - get together on New Years Day starting around 10:00 a.m. We proceed to drink, eat, gamble and smoke cigars until the last bowl game is finished. During the football year, we get together on each Monday night to watch the game, gamble, drink and smoke, but New Years Day is our big day - Some people look forward to XMAS, I look forward to New Years Day -

Now the big question, anybody have some hot picks for bowl day?

Last year was pretty boring for me, but I usually do something really cool. I went to Vegas a few years ago, and went to Times Square year before last. Just planning on going to a co-workers party this year, but it should still be pretty cool...

Hopefully my kids will sleep in. Patrick will be 7 new year's eve and he'll want to do everything under the son. and then on Monday I'll have to hear how he wishes that it was Dec 1st again so he can do xmas and birthday all over again ???
