LFD Double Ligero Lancero Oscuro Natural

This is a LFD Double Ligero Lancero, but the wrapper has gone through Litto's special process to produce an oscuro wrapper. Here's a close-up of the wrapper:

LFD Chiselfecto

This is just an odd prototype of a cigar that was sitting around in the LFD factory; it's sort of a cross between a chisel and a perfecto, so I dubbed it the Chiselfecto. It appears to have a CT shade wrapper.

Very cool, A.

That Oscuro doesn't look like traditional oscuros though, does it? I mean compared to an LGC oscuro which is black.

The description makes it sound very tasty. I like the EcSumat wrapper and if this boosts the savory sweetness, I think it'll be a hit.

Chiselfecto, no thanks! Too much for me.

When I read that there was going to be an Oscuro Natural wrapper on a LFD lancero I almost teared up. That wrapper is my favorite on all of the Ligero line, I can't wait to try it.

That Chiselfecto looks pretty interesting too

It depends on the wrapper... I can't tell you the process exactly, because I was asked not to, but not all wrappers will be equivalently dark. Most of the REALLY dark oscuro wrappers you've seen are probably dyed somehow :)

How and with what do they dye the wrappers with Moki?

I've heard some companies do this with Maduros as well.

I read an interview with one of the Oliva's I think in Afficiando. Where he said some in the industry were doing such things. He was critical of those processes and said he would not use them. He said it was like flovoring. Hmmm....

Litto would like to know where you got this cigar :p

How true, we asked him about these and all he could say was, ".......how....how do you know about that?? ??? ". God bless the internet

I smoked one of these over the weekend. Wow. It's the same blend as the LFD Lancero, the only difference being the wrapper, but man... it is a heck of a lot stronger. I was surprised, really, I'd have thought the Oscuro wrapper would have added some sweetness.
