His quadruple bypass was completed today. Next 24hrs is important. Long road ahead. He is a good man and father, my only golf partner and the only person I smoke cigars with. Any extra prayers can only help. It feels good to have a place to come and vent. Thanks. Marc

Went through this last Christmas with my dad. Sounds like the same type of procedure. Even though it's tough not to get depressed, believe me when I say it is amazing how fast he can recover. The hardest part of the whole thing was dealing with his depression afterwards. It only lasts a short while, but it is physically and emotionally draining. Just be there for him & your family.
Thoughts & prayers headed north.

He never grasped the concept of moderation...with anything.

Went through this at the first of the year with my dad, tirple, and my grandmother just had an emergent double on Monday. It is scary as heck but it will be better in time. Prayers sent.

Shoot man, in a couple of weeks, he will be up bouncing around like a new puppy, smoking your stash and spanking you on the links! He is going to be fine!

Prayers and thoughts your way! Bruce is right he'll be all over your stash soon.

I also went through this with my Dad a couple of years ago, I called him about three weeks after the procedure to see how he was doing. He says " Great! I have more energy and feel better than I have in 20 years, except for yesterday. I got a little light headed and almost got sick" I asked him what he was doing when it happened? This is the honest to God truth, he tells me, "I was on the roof replacing all those cement tiles that got damaged last year" He's doing great now.

My families thoughts and prayers are with you.

Al

Prayer sent.

My dad had a quintuple a few years ago on a Monday, and they had him home (obviously in bed) that Friday. Scary stuff, but the extra time it's bought us has been a big gift.
