Just wanted to thank the TSA for helping me fly safer over the weekend. :sign:

My priority mail box flew home with me.ANd made it safely to Chicago.
I Didn't have a chance to ship it out.
How did you other guys who won the priority box at the herf fare traveling home?

Im glad SAKA was driving..LOL!!

I made it home with my box, no problem! The bastids got my Air Force 1/Marine 1 zippo, though! The damn thing was brand new, never had fluid it it.

Steve that really sucks - very nice lighter - lucky for you, you know where you can find another one. This time have Dennis mail it to you :D - Glad to hear everyone made it home safe and sound.

About the only argument they will give into is to ask to keep the case and give them the insides of a zippo, sometimes they will do that.. You can't go wrong with a plastic bic lighter in your pocket, It won't set off the detector

All three of my lighters made it home safely. Steve did you have it on carry on or in baggage claim?

It was a carry on as I didn't check any bags. I should have just removed the insert and kept the shell of the zippo. I can't imagine they would have had a problem with that. But of course, I did not think of it at the time.

Carry on?!?! What were you thinking. You could have given it to one of us and I'd have handed it to you here....

My fluid showed up w/o any problems, unopend in the priority mailbox. The two bottles of alcohol made it w/o any issues. And my lighter w/ the punches (full) and cigar cutter all made it. Not to mention I never did remove any bands from the cigars. :whistling:

I'm just glad TSA isn't being such a tight ass. The chemical scan makes a lot of sense to me, but the Xray thing is pretty weak.

Sorry to hear it Steve. :(
