Ok guys and dolls! Here is my brain storm.

We put the 16 ( or 8 if not enough) teams in a hat and do a draw. Everyone will put in 2 cigars worth at least $5 to total at least $10 for the package.
We will play by the point spread.
If the favorite does not cover the spread then the underdog would then take the favorite and continue with that team. Of course if the favorite covers then that person keeps his team and continues on. Winner takes all.

scenerio:

Todays game spread
George Washinton +9 vs Duke

If Duke wins by less than 10, then whoever had GW would claim Duke and stay in the pool. If Duke wins by 10 or more then whoever has them keeps them and stays alive. Now if GW was to win out right, then whoever has them keeps them and continues. This continues throughout the Tournament until the Final game. Even in the final game the favorite has to win by more than the spread to win the prize!

The first 15 are in... if I can't get 15... then the first 7 are in for the Elite 8.

Well my brothers... it looks as if their has not been enough interest generated to pull this off. I don't understand. I know the 2 $5 cigar ante shouldn't have been a problem. Gentleman, If it's the quality of smokes you would win ( winner will get 30, $5+ cigars)you can always donate them to the Troops or send them to a newbie, you dan't have to smoke them for cryin' out loud.
Maybe people didn't understand the point spread thing. I thought I typed that out well enough to understand though. Maybe they think it's going to be to much work... NOT, I'll do everything. All you have to do is sign up, then see if you win. If you loose you send 2 of the fore mentioned cigars to a BROTHER. How freakin simple is that. Mean while it puts a little interest in "MARCH MADNESS" , and another reason to log on here with your BoTL. Hell, thinking about it more. Maybe it's me. I don't know.
In any event I talked with Springbank last night while smoking a cigar at a local watering hole. He's in. That makes 6 players. With several of us doing 2 entries we still fall about 6 players short. I would still like to see this fly. NEWBIES ARE WELCOME too!
If we can't get the Sweet 16 to fly (tip off is today 4pm pst, 7pm est TODAY). We just need 2 more big balled action heros to step up, then we could do the ELITE EIGHT.

Anytime, I do have to get rid of some of my newer Pineapple White Owls as I think they are some of the most underrated sub $5 cigars on the market!

I hope you fockers understand how hard it is to give up such primo cigars. I will never give up my Grape White Owls as those are some good smoking cigars especially the early 2006 vintage.
 
Ok... theoretically we have a "GO". I will give it a few more hours to see if we can reduce a few of the 2'fers. If not I'll get with the drawing of teams 1pm pst.


Warning... we probably will be playing against our self in some instances...lol!
