I’m kind of a dumbass…
In the past, whenever I received a box from someone, I found a funny pic to go with a silly little story to express my gratitude. Well, not this time.
As many of you aware, I had a total knee replacement on Friday. By the end of the day Saturday, I had a total of TWELVE packages on the front porch! I am completely stunned and flabbergasted!
Words like “family” and “brother” (think Harleys & Hulk Hogan) are tossed around in our society to the point that they are, in my opinion, watered down. But not here at CigarP ass! I knew that when those words were used here, they carried a lot of heartfelt emotion and meaning, but I had not experienced the full weight. Now, I definitely have! In my short time here, I have made better friends than I have “in real life”! Thank you letting me part of this community, and I truly hope that I can make a positive contribution, and live up to the high standards I have seen here.
Also, the worst part (to me) about joint replacement is the sheer boredom. As has been the case since I started smoking cigars, I look up every stick I get so I can enter it into my spreadsheet/journal. The info I record includes construction (wrapper, binder, etc), vitola, origin, blender, factory, and any other notes. Then I put my own band on it and print a label with from who and when I received it. Y’all have given me not just a cigar, but the research and story that goes with it. That process is the single best way for me to combat the boredom, and I appreciate it more than I can express!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
