I did some searching and couldn't find a thread for this.

I think it would be good if we had a thread to rate, review, and discuss wine. I am always looking for good dry red wine. I don't have a clue where to look if I find a bottle I am thinking about buying?

Does anyone have good rating and review sites?

I’ve been using the Vivino app for a while. The ability to take a picture of the label and have it bring up the wine is handy, as well as track my ratings, tell me average ratings and average price. The search engine with text is sometimes quirky, but overall it’s great.

I agree, Vivino is a pretty good source. If you don't mind spending some money and want a very dry red, Brunello de Montalcino Reserva is typically a good direction to look. It's drier and earthier than Cabernet Sauvignon. Poggio Landi Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva is one I've had a good experience with. For cigars, I often find Malbec works best. It's still a dry red but a bit more berry than earth and pairs really well with some of the Opus X line of cigars that have a black cherry note.
