Yet another question on beads

Well, I put a lb. of 65% Heartfelts in the wine-o-dor ( I know took almost a year!) along with a bowl of distilled water. Left it there since Monday so far. Have not checked a humidity or anything yet, as I want it to season up real well. I did not line the interior with spanish cedar nor did I do any of the other fun stuff I had thought about. I do, however, have about 15 empty boxes in there along with a busted 100 count that I will use for singles till I get some custom drawers made up. My question is simple and this: Do I need to open the boxes? That is all. Just a semi-moronic Q to start off the day. They are all closed and I was just wondering if that would lengthen the process or harm the process. Thanks all!

Don

I have 2 2 lb. Beads in sacks and a small dish in the very bottom.
I also have 3 20 ct. Humis for singles. I keep a shot glass filled with beads in each.

I almost never add distilled to the beads inside the little humis.

Cigar boxes aren't airtight. I think cigars age better in the box.
