Wonder if the Cuban tobacco factories have electricity during this blackout?

Hello folks,
With the island wide blackout they are having in Cuba I wonder if the tobacco factories have any generators to run or are they shut down as well? One would think the Chinese company who owns half of Habanos would try and keep the money machine rolling somehow. I hope things get better for the Cuban people because times there are very very bad right now and people are starting to run out of food. Take care folks.

Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if they did or they didn’t.

@Johnny-O! might be able to answer this one.

Since China is also probably the majority purchaser of Cuban cigars, I doubt the government is spending too much energy (no pun intended) on Cuba when they can't even keep food on their own tables in the hinterlands. Buuuuuuuut, we would be skirting politics going any further in this discussion as-is.

11 million without power, only the Commandantes had the lights on. No restaurants for 36 hours. From what I understand the majority of hotels dont have generators. The shouting matches at the airport on Saturday were out of a movie. My legs look like I got hit with No 7 birdshot from the mosquitos. No amount of HC7 or beer could put me to sleep. John
