Our local Home Depot has the Magic Chef wine cooler on sale from $200 down to $140. I know some people have used these before for their smokes so check your HD if you are looking for one of them.

Store SKU # 394112
Internet # 163948
Catalog # 100030937

Only $100 online!

No, that is the small one. The one I'm talking about is twice that size and I don't see it online so it must be an instore special.

How well do those wine coolers seal? Anyone have any input on how well they work?

I'm pretty sure it has a magnetic seal just like a fridge. Do a search for wine coolers here and something should pop up.

I was just wondering, since this wine cooler and other storage solutions people come up with (i.e. coolidors) aren't made of spanish cedar, does that impact the aging of the cigars negatively?

Not if you put spanish cedar in the storage unit, whether it be cigar humidor trays, cigar boxes, etc... Spanish cedar does add a little aroma, but mostly it is used in humidors because of its great RH properties.
