Will this work in a tupperdor

You all should be getting sick of me asking these questions, however I'm sending out my first pass (as a host) at the end of this week, and I want it to go perfectly, from the cigars involved, the organization of contents and paperwork, and most importantly to the well being of the actual cigars!

So, I thought, I've got an extra one of those tubes (roughly cigar size) full of beads from Viper, and I thought perhaps that would be a great addition to the tupperdor for keeping the cigars where they need to be. And part of the instructions included in the box will be to add more distilled water to the tube if it's looking dried out (beads all white).

Will this work? Is it too much for such a small environment, especially one packed so tight with cigars?

I've read and seen a small bit of sponge, which apparantly works, but I figure why not go all out if that tube is doing nothing otherwise?

I have one of Viper's tubes in a tupperware container I'm using for overflow storage; works great. I'd think this would be almost perfect for the intended purpose.

I used a brick passive humidification device in my pass - it worked fine. I would think the tube with beads would be even better.

The beads would work fine..
I recommend only wetting them upto 75%. And allowing 25% of the beads to stay dry.
Just to be sure you dont oversaturate the beads and end up moistening the sticks too much..and causing them to mold..

I think beads would be fine. If it's in a pass you probably won't even have to worry about re-charging the beads at all.

I have about 10 boxes all with beads and I only rechage them maybe once every 2 months if that.

Just like the commercial says "SET IT AND FORGET IT"!!

You might include a dropper or syringe with instructions about how much water to add. A lot of people do not use beads and might over water them.

I did this when I first received my beads. It was not fun to open the coolidor and see 79% RH.
