I live in europe part time so I have no problem with shipping.
Looking for good prices and authentic cigars

I'd personally think you'd be better off trying the local shops, surely someone in Europe stocks Cubans. :D

Some of our ad carriers sell Cuban cigars as well, and I've heard good things about Trevor at Strictly Cuban, but if you're looking to do much better, you're probably on your own for now. ???

Discussing source specifics (...even advertisers) is best left to PMs and email, Wildcard / King....

???

You may be right, Monk, but they do openly advertise, and use public sites like Cigarsites.com I didn't think there'd be a problem, but I did stop at that point for a reason.

As for that leading to bigger things from other posters, I doubt it's a problem, but I know it's happened before.

So I'm going to take this time to refer King and any other new comers to this thread which reading should probably be a prerequisite to joinng here.

There's also a link on the frontpage here clearly marked "Cuban Cigar Retailers", which specifies the only one I mentioned. Still, I apologize if I stepped on any toes.

Food for thought:

When in doubt, don't post it on an open forum. PM / email if you feel you need to share your source information.

If you know it's happened before, then when perpetuate the potential problem? Do you see other regular CPers showing such indiscreetion?

Looks like a moderator needs a shoe shine too...

You may be right, Monk

Yep.

I wasn't in doubt, and it's not my source. I've never used them and was only passing on word of mouth. I was merely reposting a link available in two places on this site, and the general opinion of them via another site.

If you know it's happened before, then when perpetuate the potential problem? Do you see other regular CPers showing such indiscreetion?
I don't see how I was showing indescretion, as I've seen it on two other places on this site. And I shouldn't be responsible for what other members could have posted following up mine, which clearly said it was one of CP's advertisers.

If you see that as indescretion, I'm clearly not the only guilty one.

I did not ask who ships them to the states? I dont care either. Lots of companies sell cuban cigars. Not big deal on who has the best prices and authentic invetory.
You can type in cubans and have 100 net companies who deliver to the US.
Any kind of enforcement could breach that undercover security in about 2 seconds.
They are very, very expensive in Switzerland hence my question.

I wish I could buy Cuban cigars :(
Me too Bill. I am having the hardest time acquiring a source. You would think that as long as we've been here somone would have told us by now. If I hear anything, I'll let you know.

Just call him SD_Stack the "Cuban Newbe" LOL!! :D

I'm glad you guys are around here to keep it light. :p It's the environment here that keeps people around.

Forgetaboutit Miles, some people do not understand descretion and feel hell bent on justifying their indescretion. What makes it so funny is that someone would make recommendations when they have not had any experience with their recommendation. ???

King, most members on this site are from America and it is not legal for us to purchase Cuban cigars. The advertisers on this site as well as other cigar sites would be a good place to compare prices for international members.

BTW, welcome to CP!

Wow, cavelry is a bit Jumpy ain't they. :D

BTW, if King lives part time in Europe (which is what he said) then he can Legally buy cubans from any online retailer selling Cubans, as long as he has them shipped to his addy in Europe, I really fail to see any indescretion in giving him some names for that.

He didn't say he wanted them shipped to the US, that would be illegal, sheeesh!!!

:sign:

I don't believe anyone here has disputed the fact that King can buy all the cuban cigars he wants while in Europe. The beef was about openly posting cuban cigar sources. The suggestion was to take it to email or PM which seems reasonable since for the most part the people most likely to do the suggesting would be American. The word discreet means being cautious, careful, diplomatic. I suppose everyone can make up their own mind about how discreet that was done here.

Granted, I guess you are right. Upon reflection I suppose PM might be a better place to discuss it. ???

However, as I did not see the actual Web Address I just assumed that what was posted is the sameas what is in the Banner Ad at the top of the page, and thus I don't see the beef. Nonetheless, PM does seemto be the better part of descretion after all. Sorry to have spoken, I will go sit in my corner now :(

Justified indescretion? It seems ironic that as I post this, that same banner ad is just above my message box.

I was merely pointing out an open source, and I didn't recommend him. I said
I've heard good things about Trevor at Strictly Cuban

I did not say that I have had good experience with him, or anything even close to that nature.

Tell me Allofus, what's your opinion on the "TRUSTED & RESPECTED" Cuban Cigar links on the mainpage? I fail to see how what I did is wrong and that is fine.

Just a hint:

Be very careful how you talk to your elders. ;)

I'm not trying to cause trouble, but if I'm going to be told I'm in the wrong, I expect it to be justified. I'd also think anyone here would have said expectations.

I would backyou up here Josh (mainly because I agree with you) But at the moment I am in my corner, shutting up. I don't want Big Daddy to start slappin me around again. ;)
