I'm all out of space in my current humidors (2 desktops and 2 HDM Factory Fresh crates), and even had to take a bunch out of boxes so they'd fit. The size humi I need I can't seem to find, so I'm going to build my own. I have a plan just about complete, but need to work out a few details.
What I'm looking for are pictures of the details on your cabinet humidors, specifically how the shelves attach to the side, the walls of the humi and their construction (inlays, rail and stile, etc.), joints in the wood (particularly at corners), etc. If you could email me high res pics that would be great. I know how to build a regular cabinet but I'm worried about a few details resulting from the humidity difference.
In case you were wondering, I have two options I'm leaning towards now. One is a Honduran mahogany rail and stile frame with MDF inserts with spanish cedar on the inside and quilted bubinga or quilted sapele on the outside. The door would be glass. If this isn't going to work as well as I hope, I may just build the entire thing out of Honduran Mahogany with solid construction.
I would appreciate any pics you guys can take.
