I'm with B.B.S. on this one. I have a nice counterfeit Hoyo de Monterrey ceramic ashtray and it get has gotten less than pretty from actual use. Guys have brought the Stinky to herfs and I thought it was a fantastic accessory. I do agree with the folks who have difficulty perching their cigars in the minimalist stirrups. I realize the indent on an ashtray is the only part that actually cradles and holds the cigar and the Stinky incorporates only the indent function via the stirrups. However, having a bit of a ledge on either side of the stirrup would really make it easy to place the cigar by giving you a little extra real estate to make contact with and guide the cigar into the holder.I've had nice ceramic ash trays, and no doubt they are pretty to look at, but the ones I've had were a bzotch to keep clean. And, if you get too aggressive with your cleaning methods, you can take the glaze right off of 'em. We now have a Stinkey on each deck and I'd buy another. Pretty damn tough, easy to scrub out, etc.
If you're going to use it, my vote goes to the Stinkey....

Shooter, my friend, it has a lot to do with that JP4 you serve up for cocktails..........I just have a hard time balancing the smoke after a few drinks....

I've always found the stirrups on the Stinky's to be pretty user friendly, but maybe my beverage octane just isn't up to snuff......
