I grabbed an HDM Petit Robusto from Nov 2004 and it had a very easy draw initially so I examined the cigar a little closer and saw a hole right through the center of the cigar. It tasted fine so I continued and then noticed the ash had holes like something bourghed through it. I thought oh crap...beetles. I smoked it all the way too the end because it tasted really good. The draw did tighten up at the end of the smoke however.
I ran in and checked my box and all the cigars looked fine. I didn't notice any of the signs for beetles so I think I'm ok. None of the other cigars had the opening through the cigar and looked to be rolled perfectly. Was this just a construction issue? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
