A friend just emailed me and asked if I know anything about breweries in Colorado Springs. He is going on a business trip and will have an extra day. If anyone knows the area, I'd appreciate info on the local microbreweries and where he should go (cigars not important for him)

Thanks!

I went a couple of years ago, and we had lunch at Phantom Canyon. I thought the food and the beer were pretty good. If he's looking to bring beer back, he should check out Coaltrain Liquors.

If your buddy is into sours Jim, Arctic Craft Brewery had a fantastic one that we had at GABF.

I agree, Arctic was excellent. Also have him go by Bristol. They are one of my favorites and have a ton of good beer from IPA's to an 18% Double Stout.

Sorry to chime in late...

x3 on Bristol. Great beers. Laughing Lab was one of my favorites back in the day.

Phantom Canyon is a great place. It's got a pool hall atmosphere with great beers on tap and the location in downtown C-Springs is perfect.
