What to buy the Preacher man?

Need help picking out a box of cigars for a man I only met once. Getting married in a couple of weeks and when meeting with the pastor the other day he brought up cigars a couple of times.
Like a dummy I didn't jump on the opportunity to ask what he smokes. Actually, the idea of giving him cigars came up after the meeting.
All I can say about him is he's a railroad exec., smokes cigars and performs weddings for free.
I know I would love a nice 20pk assortment even if it wasn't my favorites. I'm just wondering if anyone else has been in this similar situation.

Do you even know if he has a humidor, or other set-up, to store a whole box?
Consider a nice fiver, or something like an Ashton or Padron Sampler with a representative from each line or size.
i.e., 5 to 7 max. If you want to spend more money, perhaps a decent lighter or cutter.
 
For price anywhere between $50-$150.
I like the idea of a couple 5pks. Doesn't need to be a box.
I think if I keep em in the medium bodied range I should be fine.
He can always re-gift the ones he's not interested in.
He does fancy himself as a bit of a comic so maybe he would find humor in a brown bag special.

This is why I posted.
I forget a lot of people do not have humidors
A fiver and a good cutter should do just fine.
 
I think it has been decided by Pugman that giving a Preacher man a "box" of BBMFs is not a very good idea. Especially when shouting the name of said BBMF in church. :p
 
I like the idea of a 5er and a Cigar Caddy. If you want to get a laugh from him, get a 10 (or 15) count and layer it by putting a premo 5er on the bottom and a brown bag 5er on the top. Then as he'll have to dig through the gag to find the real treasures. That way you won't have to worry about him not having a humidor, and everyone can use an extra Cigar Caddy.
