What do you do with a smelly box?

I happened to find the Davidoff 12 cigar sampler at a B&M yesterday at a nice price and brought it home......it stinks!

The B&M allows smoking in the walk-in and consequently this box of cigars, which had been there a while, is stinking up my coolidor!

Freeze it?

Give it time?

Take the sticks out, strip em, and get rid of the box?

Any experience with this?

Anybody have an empty version of this box that is clean?

Sorry, can't help you Jeff. When I saw the title, I thought you were talking about another kind of smelly box.

Me too, I went right to your list of options so I was going to say go with taking your stick out of it and getting rid of the box, but then I read the full post.

What I would do and have done with smokes that were a little "smoke infused":
Take them out of the box
Not sure if they came in the high-speed white tubes, but if they did and those smell, than take them out of the tubes, throw them in cellos, and they should be fine.
Hope this helps,
Mike
