What do you do when smoking alone?

If I get time alone I usually pour a tall one and head for the deck.

When I smoke I'm either listening to the Dodgers, researching my next purchase, or staring off into space, reflecting on my day.

I often listen to the radio, either a ballgame, oldies r'n'r, or talk radio.
Sometimes I do yard work, work on the car or take a walk. While
listening to the radio, it's is often entertaining to watch the birds feed
on insects, particularly the flying insects. It can be an aerobatic
'dog fight'. (oops! apologies to Michael Vick)

Mostly a cigar is a reason to sit and relax. Doing anything might mess it up!

Chemyst

When I have "me" time, I head outside alone with a cigar, a drink, and a book.

No music, no games, no computers, no dog, kids, wife, or phones.

Oh, and sometimes I just look at the sky from my porch.

Wilkey

I love to take my dog and the ball to the park. My favorite, before football season that is, is to work in my garden, enjoy the sun, and smoke a great cigar. Football season means friends, firepits, football on the radio while grilling and drinking beer (and power smoking late in the season to avoid frozen extremeites). Reading is a good time, but I've inadvertantly trained myself to read for one hour before bed and then go to sleep. Unfortnately, it has the same effect anytime.

....for the win. Sometimes, I listen to news on a little radio I have, but that's about it.

Silence, reflection, relaxation, and quiet time......

Umm, dodge mortars, listen to sporadic gunfire, hide from the ECM Flares the Blackhawks drop as they fly by, and on occasion, try and guess how many innocent people were involved in that car bomb I just heard....

So..I try not to smoke alone, I am building a small group and we try to get together twice a week, all the other stuff still happens, but the conversation keeps it from overwhelming you....

Sorry this was kinda of a buzz kill

Tim

Sometimes I find myself going outside to smoke a cigar by myself, which is nice because it's peaceful..but after awhile I get bored. What other activiites do you do when you smoke alone?

To tell you the truth, as I type this, I am sitting outside by myself having a fine treat. About to grab a nice brew, and settle in to play some poker tonight online. Its a usual evening for me because it allows me to not only relax with a treat but gather my thoughts and turn what could be a boring evening into enjoy a fine evening.

Watching my dogs play and run around in the back yard is probably my most favorite thing to do. A close second right now is watching the family next door and their two children just go about their daily lives. I talk to my neighbor through the fence and listen to his two children run around and laugh and enjoy life.

You do not have to apologize mate.
I have been reading your posts and often wonder what life must be like for you over there.
I do not envy you one bit bro.
I am looking forward to hearing about your new Humi when you finally return home to fill it.
Stay safe mate.

Take an old Zebco over to the lake in the park and lazy fish.

or

Fly one of my kites.

Usually it involves a book and a glass of scotch.

If the Astros are on the radio I listen to the game.

I also take the dogs for a walk sometimes.

spiffy

I normally read a book or check out what's going on at Cigarpass.

Then I start killing mosquitoes.

Last evening I waited for a thunderstorm to blow through, grabbed a Davidoff 4000 and a beverage and sat on the front porch contemplating life while watching the lightning in the distance. An hour every few days spent that way does a mind good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reading, watching a sporting event or movie outside or just sitting back in my comfortable chair while listening to some music.

Since I just started smoking I have only spent my evenings either out on my porch looking at the stars and melting away any stress that I may have accumulated over the past week or so, or I enjoy a nice long walk with my girlfriend and her dog.

No Buzz kill here Brother.
My best friend spent 2 years over there.(Camp Kalsu) I spent 2 years sending him whiskey packed in mouthwash bottles and some great smokes. He's home now.
Thank you for what you are doing.
Get home safe

Usually I am in my garage looking at my car wondering how the hell I am going to pay for the next race!

Anybody care to sponsor us in the Baja 1000 this year? God I am a whore

Sit on my back patio, listening to the waterfall and pond animals scurry around, I also will read or surf the internet as I have a wireless laptop to us, usually I spend time reading about all the things to be done to a Corvette on Corvetteforum.com

Sitting on the deck with a nice stogie and 4 fingers of scotch while watching my two dogs wrestle in the yard is damn near heaven. I'll even get upset if the wife breaks the silence...sometimes.
