The other thread was getting too big, so I thought it would work better to have a daily thread. A few fine folks suggested a weekly thread would be the way to go. So here it is!

What is everyone smoking this week?

Smoked a Bolivar PC and a Quintero Brevas...both were MMM MMM GOOD!!!

98 (? Gary?) Lusitania
PSD4 with a year or two.
RASS with a few years...04 perhaps? I really don't remember
Anejo 50 (thanks Gary) with a year or two.

Most of the rest of a bottle of Ron Z Centario 15
A few old bottles of wine
Most of a bottle of Damn Nice Bourbon (thanks AVB!)

It was a rough Friday...so I treated myself nicely to make up for it.

Guilty as charged. I do indeed, like the good stuff. If that makes me a snob, then so be it.

That looks like a mighty fine lineup of smoking and drinking!!

Just finished off a DGP Black (Perla 1952) to get the day started. Weather is turning bad, so that may be it for today.

I knew you were just bustin on me, no worries. And that second sentence sounds like we were "more than freinds...not sure I like the ideas it might give some of these guys....I'll start getting candy and flowers.

I am going to write and direct a short film....about a young man that misreads a post about a trauma surgeon and instead thinks that a large, caviar-producing fish from the Caspian Sea is out causing mad Trauma. His paranoia induced hallucinations are the basis of a cop-themed action TV show....I can hear a theme Song now....

He's a trauma sturgeon baby.
Don't take no guff....
His lady's full 'a beluga...
That's some damn tasty stuff......TRAUMA STURGEON.
He'll smash up your pad,
No apologies to be had, Trama Sturgeon...
He'll slap down some mad slaughter,
QUICK! Return him to the water, Trauma Sturgeon!

Next, on Trauma Sturgeon, TS busts up a meth lab on the shores of Lake Michingan.

Sir,
You have some serious talent! :D and had a hell of a smoking week!

I smoked a Monte #2, Don Diego torp, La Aurora Ruby, all with Dalmore 12.

Ken

Just a LFD Mojito while mowing the yard this evening.

Kicked off the morning with a JFR Toro.

For me, these are simply the best budget smoke in the world. I lit it up and never touched it again, it smoked like a dream. I swear that it tasted better than a few Opus X I've had.

Ya know, Wyatt, I have yet to smoke the JFR's! Brandon (hojadepuro) sent my four -- 2 robusto and 2 toro -- a while back. I guess it is time I fire one up!!

Well, got bored this afternoon and the weather stayed nice....so I had me a Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve Torp Maduro.

Of the RP lines, I like these and the Edge best. It had great flavor but had burn issues, on top of that, my lighter ran dry after lighting. So I had some fun keeping the burn even, but it was a good smoke.

I can't believe you haven't smoked one yet. Jon I know smoking a $3-4 cigar is hard for you :sign: but they are great smokes. Fire one up and see what you think!!

JLP Cremas

Brandon

JFR is a Don Pepin Garcia blend called Just For Retail. They are unbanded and have an unfinished cap and a pigtail. They usually go from $3-5 in most B&M shops. For the money they are great cigars.

What is a JFR Toro? What type of wrapper was it?

Here's some info I stole from Cigar.com, who actually has a good price on them believe it or not.

JFR is a factory fresh style cigar that comes unbanded in factory fresh boxes of 50 with a raw and unfinished look. This brand is a great value.

JFR literally stands for "Just For Retail" and is a concept designed to be sold only by brick and mortar stores.

Each JFR is rolled completely by hand in Honduras using premium long fillers and is finished with an oily Havana seed wrapper. This cigar has a rich full flavor and a medium body.

Yep, I am quite the cigar snob! :sign: Maybe I'll fire one up the night before the Padron event. :whistling:

Last night a gifted Partagas Shorty '06. Phenominal. Today at lunch a connie dr robusto maduro. This was gifted to me and I'm guessing was aged for at least 6 mos, probably considerably longer. It was very good. First connie I've ever had. I'm now going to pick up a bundle (or two :whistling:) and put them in the bottom of my nearly functional coolidor.

So far this has been a good f'n week. This weekend, either my first Opus X or my first Graycliff blue label (gifted by Brickhouse). Choices, choices.

Yesterday I had two JLP cremas. One from 98 the other from 05. I am going to try to do a nice comparison on the next two I smoke. They were both ok, and a little different. Great experience smoking them back to back!
