I am moving to PA.

I will be starting a new job and will be moving out just south of Pittsburgh. I start at the end of March; so when I get settled (probably May) I will reach out and meet up and finally hang out with some BOTL!!

I can not believe I am doing it! I have spent 5 great years here in Washington State since moving from Chicago. I really was getting comfortable here but this is a promotion and a challenge and I can’t pass it up. Very excited to be in a new area, not to mention a state that does not absolutely hate cigars! My company is paying for the move so I have a moving company packing everything up and moving me out next Friday.

Question….how should I pack my wine-a-dor? My thought was to take all the beads that are open right now and put them in a nylon sock, then wrap all my boxes and stuff the whole thing with bubble wrap, then strap the door shut. Will that work? Anyone ever done this before?

Sounds good to me. Remember that things that don't move around don't get broken, so pack it nice and snug.

When I moved my Staebell to temporary quarters, I emptied the water from the humidifier cans, and packed all my smokes in boxes, double bagged in big garbage bags. What a pain in the rear..!! For the move to our new house, it occurred to me that the sucker was so full nothing was going to move around anyway.... I emptied the water and had them shrink wrap the doors closed. Made it, no hitch.

When I moved mine, I put all of my beads from a tray into a ziploc bag. Then I packed the remaining space in the vinotemp full of bubble wrap (Too much to close the door). Then I tapped the door shut and put it in the moving truck.

Congrats, hurry up and get here and enjoy the early spring!

Wish you well on your move, i am sure the sticks and wineador will make it there safely!

Congratulations on the promotion ! Best of luck with your new endeavor, and congrats on a less rainy state of residence. More time for you to smoke outside.... Safe travels.

Hey bro seeing as your moving to PA maybe you can go to Famous Smoke Cigarnival, and put up some pic's and show us poor folk who cannot make it how good it is. That would be cool.

You'll be real close to the CP BBQ HERF this coming July Ben.

Also the QSH is in August looks like your about 7 hour drive which is like a 1/2hr flight! There will be a bunch of great brothers there. Im Driving down at about 4-41/2 hours whats another 3...

That event actually takes place on the opposite side of the state. Still...it's a lot closer than WA...hahaha.

I can not wait to be on the east coast closer to the civilization of herfs and cigar smoking! Count me in on both assuming work is calmed!

UGH! Well I am here! Made it on Tuesday and have been trying to find a place to live since! The houses I had picked out to rent before I got here fell through or were junk, so I am desperatly tryign to find a place to live and boy is it hard right now...WTF! I can't catch any luck. I can't even find a place to store my stuff that gets here Monday! I am hoping right now that I found a storage unit that will be close to work.

But as of now I am living in a hotel until then....not a great start to my time in PA, but I am rolling with the punches and will find a way.
I will not be too active the next weeks as I try and get this resolved, but wanted to send out an update.
