Just throwing something out there that may interest more than a couple people. I frequent another site called BeerAdvocate. On the site there is a list of reviews. On each review of a beer there is a want or a got icon. When clicking the icon your profile is updated respective of which icon you clicked on. The review piece of the equation is really not relevant as there could just be a database to begin with of cigars out in the world. Of course someone could write a review on a particular cigar if they chose. I am just wondering if Rod would be interested in implementing this feature? It would be nice if everyone on here could easily access a person's list of cigars they have or would like to have. That way, if someone actually wanted to participate, others would know who to contact in order to get a cigar they would like. I would be more than happy to assist, as I am a programmer by trade. Of course there would have to be some sort of design phase to hash out what actually needs to be done and what would be wanted.

Just throwing it out there.

Cigar Pass isn't about what you have or what you want. While trading and the like are part of the climate here, putting that sort of thing at the fore of one's Cigar Pass presence is kind of missing the point.

Just my opinion.

x2. There's no need in turning CP into a flea market. We already have a wishlist thread and you can put what you want into your profile.

Well the intent wasn't to flaunt what you have or turn it into a flea-market. And it definitely is not at the fore of one's presence as it is pretty transparent and only noticeable if you are looking for it. Oh well, it's a neat feature on BA, but I understand it may not fit in here. I'm also aware of putting what you would like in your profile and the ever prominent wishlist thread. Thanks for the constructive criticism.

I think the "want" part would be kinda neat on reviews. "12 members want to try this cigar." and maybe it adds a line/link in your personal notes...

Neat idea, but I doubt it's worth the time. :)
