WA State/Pacific NW Herf

Hey guys, I am not real sure how many of us are in this area, but thought organizing a HERF would be a great idea! What do you all think?

If there is enough interest, we can start planning.....

Anyone feel like a roadtrip to Boise?? There are about 5 of us down here..1 or 2 more in SLC. We might make a good 1/2 way point. Just a thought...

Maybe the biggest question is....where to have the herf? Followed by....when?

Depending on the number of folks that would be interested, we could have something at my casa later in the summer (after the concrete cures) but that's probably not the most convienent situation I can imagine for most other folks. There are some great places to Herf in Portland, OR (right across the river) so we < could > put a weekend together here that would be fun, but again, that's only one suggestion.

Whaddaya you guys think....??

I might be up for another herf... depends on the location and date.

What about at or around one of the casinos in Eastern WA? There's one about 4 hours from Boise, I believe.
 
Yeah, it would pretty much have to be at a Casino or residence if it was in WA. Damn smoking ban. A weekend in Portland or Eastern WA would be good too. I am open to any suggestions on location.

I think he was referring to our BOTLs in Salt Lake, but I haven't seen any of them post an interest in attending.

Boise's a great place. I moved here from the Bay Area (San Jose) 12 years ago. Here a link to the Boise City website: Boise City

Aside from the scenery, we have a great downtown area with several nice places for a drink, inside or out. We have mountains and fishing within 20-30min, lots of golf, in general its just a great place to hang, relax, and well...herf. We have at least 5 BOTLs here that would attend and of course we can get a poker tourney going too if there's interest.

Any date nominations at this point. If we schedule it right, we might be able to talk Thehatguy into making it out.. :whistling:

Not to be a nay sayer, but, I've seen Boise. I haven't been to Vancouver, WA, and I like the cheap steaks at the Acropolis in Portland ... and you can smoke a cigar there as well. :laugh:

BBS, if your patio is open for a mini-herf sometime, LMK. :thumbs:

But if you guys make it to Boise, hell, I'll smoke something up. It may not be as good as HillBilly's, but it will work in a pinch. Just don't ask me to do a turkey. I just ran across a picture of that ... the pic looked way worse than it tasted. :blush:

Ok, so thats the other possibilty. Maybe we should consider where people have not been before. It is always nice seeing and doing something new.
