(Sorry I think I inserted this in the wrong area at first, if it is coming up 2x)

Hi all

I just purchased a collection of vintage cigar cutters. There were over 100.
There are solid gold ones sterling silver ones. And a lot of figural ones.
I guess you can say I hit the ground running.
Does anyone here have knowledge of the collectors market to let me know if i have a ok, good or great starter collection.

Thanks

Reuven

Yup, you hit the freaking cutter jackpot brother. Those are easily worth at least 5k.  :whistling: I have some that I can sell you to add to your collection. I'll take $100 each for them - let me know.

I'd like to see pictures, before I start giving out estimates, but if they're what I think they are.....I'd even go $7,500.

Damn Brandon, I think you're right brother and I underestimated those. Well if that's the case, I will have to go up on my price to $175 each.

Hi Reuven. One of the foremost cigar cutter collectors is a member here. You should send Moe a personal message. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to give you a fair appraisal, and knowing him, he'd probably offer to buy a few. Definitely at a better price than these guys are offering.

You may would to contact the Smithsonian 1000 Jefferson Drive Southwest, Washington, DC 20004

(202) 633-1000. One solid gold cutter that was found in King Tutankhamun sarcophagus sold for $338,000.50.

Thanks for the PM kloofrin, you definitely are talking to the right guy when it comes to vintage cutters.  Don't bother with small fries like lightthis and freebern.  My vintage cutter collection is the envy of the cigar world.  I have what has been confirmed to be the very first cigar cutter in fact, a skillfully chipped piece of obsidian from Yaxchilan.  One of my field reps will be in contact with you shortly to look over your collection and a solid offer will soon follow.  Just post your address here in a reply and I'll get one of my top people on it.

Kloofrin, I got both of your PM's but I'm sorry to report that all of my vintage cutters have been sold on another website. You are better off dealing with MoeCizlac as he has a great collection like he mentioned. I've seen his collection and is second to none.

Wow I didn't realize that the ancient Egyptians had cigars.  I thought I knew a lot and have been humbled once again.  I was indeed aware the
Egyptians made a lot of stuff out of gold, but I suppose Thor Heyerdahl has been proven to be correct in his theory.  Either that or somehow,, according to Giorgio Tsoukalos, alien astronauts shared more than just knowledge of engineering pyramids, world energy webs, moving stones and building landing strips, they also shared the lowly tobacco leaf with Egypt from the new world. Thank you for the insight.

What happened to that guy's hair anyway?

Maybe he was trying to copy the hair styles off the walls of ancient carvings and paintings and thought it would make him look more crazed.

The only person that can pull off that hair and still look smart is Einstein.  Befriend a good barber.

obviously i am new here, but seriously, what the fuk is going on here?
I just wanted some in fo on my cigar cutters, i am fairly certain that aliens havent smoked cigars since the 80's

Merry Christmas All
