As most of you know, I'm a huge Houston Astros fan and I subscribe to the MLB package through my local cable company so I can watch all the Astros games throughout the year.
Sometimes the announcers are the regular Astros announcers and other time it's the announcers from the "other" team and at times they're pathetic.
Last week, the Astros were playing the Dodgers in Los Angeles and the announcer for all the games was Vin Scully. He's been around forever and he's known for his "deuces wild" comment every time the count is 2-2 with two outs
I have to say, Vin Scully is a class act. He is probably the best play by play guy in the business. He is alone in the broadcast booth which is rare these days, most teams have two or three guys and sometimes, they're doing everything BUT calling the game.
Vin ALWAYS had some very unique trivia about EVERY player who's batting which I think is amazing. He obviously prepares more than anyone I've ever seen for a game and it's a real treat to listen to him call a game. When the Dodgers are faltering, he keeps a positive attitude and when the Dodgers are killing their opponent, he doesn't rub it in or act like a jerk like some of these other guys do.
You Dodgers fans should be very proud of Vin, he's one of the best!
