Using adhesives in my desktop humidor

I wanted to secure my humidification device and my digital hygro to the underside of my humi lid. It seems that I read somewhere before that only certain types of adhesives should be used. What has worked for you guys? Also, will the humidity cause problems for the adhesive making it difficult to stick to the cedar?

I would not use any glue. Get yourself some velcro with the self adhesive on it. Put one side on the humidifier/hygro, and the other on the humidor. You can find it in any craft store or Wal- mart. Humidity will not affect the glue, you should take an alcohol wipe to the spot and piece you plan to adhere to first.
This will also make it easy to remove your humidification device to re-saturate it later.

Good luck.

....yep. Right answer......

I have a couple of these hygrometers which come with a small self-adhesive metal plate you stick on the lid of your humidor, and the hygro has magnets on the back. Very cool.....

Another option is a hot melt glue gun, no fumes and sticks fast. I just built a frigidor from a wine cooler and used hot glue to adhear all the cedar lining as well as my fans and hygrometers, worked like a champ.

see ya
