Has anyone smoked the Buccaneer Peg Leg? I've been hearing good things about it.

Also the Arturo Fuente 858, apparently it comes in a few wrappers: natural, maduro, claro, sun grown, and rosado. The latter two apparently were an "unreleased" variant. Anyone who has had these guys, how are the various wrappers compared?

Have yet to try the Rosado but really really want to try one( ;)) I'll send you a SG. Kinda tastes like the Don Carlos. Have yet to smoke the Claro. The nat's are a good first cigar of the day with coffee or tea. The maduro is a little more flavorable. Oddly, while it is a bit more complex, I prefer the nats. Now the Sun Growns are the dogs bullocks. A little spicey with a nice roundness. If this was a commonly produced cigar it would be my goto cigar.

I've had about six assorted Buccaneros, one of which was a pegleg. Didn't care for nary a one. They are just too bland for me.

The 858 is a decent enough smoke, probably even call 'em good, in maduro and claro. I don't feed the Fuente troll by chasing after hard to get items like the sungrown and rosado.

I've had the Peg Leg. I like 'em but the price is kinda steep. I'll take an Onyx Reserve Mini Beli over the Bucanero any day. They are a good cigar but not worth the bucks (sorry about that :p )

The 858 Sungrown is the only non-Havana I would smoke regulary, if forced to.

Have yet to smoke the Claro. Emo
Funny the Claro/Candela is the only one I've smoked. I LOVED it but I like Candelas.

I think I reviewed it on here.

The only 858 that I will never smoke again is the candela. Bitter as all get out. Also the wrappers were sloppy on the ones that I've smoked and seen. The 858 natural is a cigar I've been smoking for almost 30 years. I let mine age for an additional two years after I buy them for a great cigar. They're good right off the shelf but the extra aging adds a lot to it.

Now if I could buy boxes of them for the price I paid for them when I first started smoking them($37/box)!

:0 Now I have to try one.... IF MATT WILL SMOKE 'EM! :p

The 858 Sungrowns are ok {I think the château is better}, the Rosado was fantastic {have fun finding one} and the maduro is sweeeet. ;)

I like the 858 size better than the Chateaus. In all reality, they taste the saem to me, but I prefer the 858 size along with the taste. And yes, I am an elitist snob. To add to it, I probably smoke less than five 858s a year. :)

An elitist snob with self-discipline. ;)

Okay, so here's the question then. What's the difference between an Opus X and an 858 Rosado? Both have Rosado wrappers... is the wrapper itself the same, just the blend different? Anyone who has had both, what do the tastes compare?

For the price I don't think you can beat the 8-5-8. The natural is a great smoke and I think the maddie is even better. Who can keep em long enough to age them though LMAO

I knew about the claro and the candela (geez reminds me of the early days with grenadiers) but know you guys have me intreaged with this Rosado verison Hmmm ........ very interesting

and brother Matt you are just TFF

Most of you know I'm not a big Fuente fan but I do like the 858 maduros. They're not too expensive and smoke and taste pretty good. As melski said, I tend to shy away from feeding the Fuente troll as well :p
