But here i read in the Chicago Suntimes today that the owner of Belicoso Cigar Store, in Orland Park, Illinois was arrested and extradition is being requested of Germany for this guy who owns seven cigars stores who know where. From what i understand he was funneling money to some organization which the U.S. is trying to shut down. Who'd would have thunk it?

Cigar stores, or tobacco stores? By tobacco stores, I mean a place that has a humidor, but primarily sells cigarettes. We've had the same kind of problems in MN. The feds keep a very close eye on these stores, but they aren't the same kind of places that most of us consider our HERF homes.

I think usually they're called head shops. Selling everything from cigars and cigs to "water pipes" and brass knuckles.

Just another example of Evil Tobacco corrupting our children.

Belicoso is where i met the owner of FOH. It's a real nice establishment. This is no gas station or corner store, this is a real beautiful store where a lot of Illinois CPers met for herfs. I quit smoking that other stuff many years ago, even though i still have good memories.

What about the other places? The ones in MN weren't/aren't head shops, but cigarette shops usually with small humidors. The owners were moving funds back and forth and also running some kind of cigarette coupon scam. I never looked into it, so I couldn't really give details, but I can tell you that one family owned 4 or 5 stores just in the neighborhood I lived in.
