My family is taking my girlfriend and I as well as my sister and 3 kids to Treasure Island, Florida off the coast of St. Petersburg. Beach house for a week! My plans are beach, sun, golf, drinks! Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of the area? Good golf around the St. Petes area? Cigar shops worth attending other than what I am bringing? Anyone in the area that can meet up for a smoke or four? Will be in the 7th-14th.

Tampa Humidor (just across the bridge from St. Pete to Tampa) has always treated me well and has a nice selection of cigars.

Tampa is cigar city. I have never had the time but I believe the Fuente has or used to have a tour of their factory in Tampa.

Ybor City is also a nice place for some Cuban food and flavor. King Corona is in Ybor City, and I have heard nice things about this store as well, but have not had any business with them.

Have a good time.

Of course you have to go to:

The Cigar Republic, 155 107th Ave, Treasure Island, FL Great beer and wine, great place...

St Pete Beach is my second home, I love the area...

If you can make it try Cigar City Brewing in Tampa. It didn't knock my socks off but most people rave about it.

My Brother and I have vacationed in Treasure Island just about every year since 2006 for his birthday. He had been going there for many years before that. We usually stay at the Island Inn and hang out at Rick's Tiki Bar which is pool side. Two other places we frequent are Ka' Tiki for late night fun and Caddy's On The Beach for breakfast and bloody marys. They are across the street from each other and a short walk from the Island Inn.

Island Inn Beach Resort, 9980 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island, FL 33706

Caddy's On The Beach, 9000 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island, FL 33706

If you make it to Rick's tell him Larry says hi and I'll see him in a few weeks.

Have fun!

Ybor City- Tampa Sweethearts.

Arturo Fuente Jr signed a coffin for me. Fun and good Cuban food. The Baseball stadium used to have a cigar Bar- not sure if it still does.

King corona and TPC Tampa.
But you'll be away from them. Plan your tone accordingly.

You actually may want to trip south over the Sunshine Skyway...just a cool ride :)

Just be careful when it is foggy outside... I actually remember when that happened...

Thanks Larry, will not be too far from ka'tiki, so I will hope to find time to see all that.

My girl and I like a nice drive, so this will be done as long as the rain stays away.

Thanks guys for the tips.
